Can anyone else see it? Tried looking through my binoculars and there appears to be a slight tail behind it. Much brighter than any star / planet I've seen in the sky before.

Looks like it was Jupiter, I'm sure it's moved slowly across the sky over half an hour though confused

This was handy biggrin

Jupiter was to the right and there were two moons to the left and two to the right (the usual suspects).

Give this a go, it is FOC.

In half an hour it will have moved enough to notice.

Cheers everyone!

I had spotted Jupiter with my telescope last month (saw 3 moons too!) but I think that the brightness last night is what surprised me and made me think it could be something else. Was incredible!!

I use Star Walk on my iPhone which as you hold it up to the sky moves the screen display around as you move around the sky, very nice app to see what's what up there. Also has satellites now so you can track the ones about to fall on your head smile
