De Havilland Mosquito
Discussion
692 Sqn was formed within No 8 (Pathfinder) Group at RAF Graveley on 1 January 1944. Equipped with Mosquitos, it formed part of 8 Group's 'Light Night Striking Force' and was the first Mosquito Squadron to carry the 4,000lb 'Blockbuster' bomb. It moved to RAF Gransden Lodge in June 1945 until its disbandment on 20 September 1945.

Bit of a long shot here - can anyone find any hostory of this Mosquito?
Bit of a flaky link, but if you look here:http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cac...
Entry 57 in the log, it appears that this person (S/Ldr Robert Hortop Phillips RAFVR DSO, DFC) flew that aircraft on this occasion - unless I've misinterpreted the entry. It says:
"57 1st to 2nd May 1944 Mannheim - Ludwigshaven 1 x 4,000 H.C. ML 970 Completed. Target I.G. Forben Industries in Ludwigshaven"
ETA another one here:
http://www.aircrewremembrancesociety.com/raf1945/m...
Entry no.5
"(5) 02.10.44 BRUNSWICK ML970"
As I said, try Google, put in "Mosquito ML970" , there's quite a bit of info on various pages.

Looking for a (Internet Postable) Sqn Crest I found that site.
I posted it for the OP, for his benefit, not for a bloody penguin like you.

...and BTW, you spelled "tt" wrong.
Yes, been there a couple of times with my kids. Good half day out. I'm not sure if it has been updated but when we were there (maybe 5 years ago) it was slightly "ramshackle", but in a very charming way. There are lots of other DH planes there, that the kids could climb all over and sit in the driver's seat.
They have a very good display mossie and the original prototype, I think.
