I wondered exactly that when I first saw it. I guess there aren't that many ways of approximating a hemisphere with flat panels though? Add some framework and you've got a TIE fighter...or a WW2-era bomber...or an ISS cupola.

I guess by the time you qualify to get to the station any remnants of vertigo will have been forcibly removed by that time...
