Motor Yacht Charter - Croatia
Discussion
Has anyone got any 1st hand experience of bare boat charter in Croatia.
Thinking of chartering a Sealine S38 as this is a boat we've tentatively considered buying.
Weekly rental seems to be 5-6k euro's, but how much ontop for fuel and mooring fees?
Any advice on 'must see' harbours and anything we should know that we may not have considered/be aware of.
Thanks

Have not chartered there myself (always on a friends boat which is berthed on the island cres) but the prices you stated seem about right from what I've heard.
Depending on from where you charter (most seem to got in Split or Sibenik) I can recommend anywhere in the Kornati islands (which would be north from Split) is nice. Mad & surreal scenery, good variety and restaurants. Hope this helps (a bit). If you need more info closer to your journey let me know.

Any PH'ers chartered in Croatia before and able to give any tips & assistance?
Do we need to book ahead to get a marina berth or is availability generally good? I hear that some parts of the Med are choc-a-block full and getting a Marina berth for the night can take some planning.
Anyone any idea as to what we need to budget for marina costs and fuel and when radio'ing the marina/harbour master do they usually speak English - If they don't we're in trouble!
All advise and help much appreciated as we're new to chartering, not to boats as we've our own in UK waters but have never sailed/chartered in the Med before.
