Hi. Looking for a radio preferably with DSC and GPS. STANDARD HORIZON HX851E has caught my eye, but are there any better or cheaper alternatives. Cheers.

I would always go ICOM. Local club radios get pretty battered and we have old icom sets that have outlasted many others, quality is top notch in my experiance.

Saying that, no ICOMS available with built in GPS, not many handhelds with that it seems, only other reasonably priced one I can see is this:

When our local lifeboat saved a fishing boat full of Norwegians they asked what they could buy for our station to say thanks - we asked for two ICOM handhelds which were fantastic.

Currently playing with a pair of IC-M91Ds DSC handhelds with GPS built in.
Sure they must be available in the UK by now?
