It actually landed at Warton late last year, fantastic sound. I did wonder what it was doing, it landed for all of 30 seconds before taking off and heading toward Wrea Green... I'd assumed with the short landing he'd unassed troopers who were no doubt popping smoke and heading for the tree line under fire.. smile

Certainly a very distinctive noise - although I can see how it might get a bit wearing!

Before clicking on the amended link, it was a toss up between whether the added music was Wagner or the Rolling Stones! wink

What are you moaning about? We've had someone buzzing around in an R22 this afternoon and I'd swap the sound with you any day.

Regards all the VC jokes leave it out.

This is the end.

I fell 8ft off the end of a 200ft abseil from one off those in Brunei because it had risen on a thermal before the pilot had a chance to respond. I was winded but I was lucky as I was first down. My mate Jules wasn't and fell 30ft onto the rifle he had slung across his back. He broke his back and was in hospital for 6mths. Luckily the doc fixed him up and he was able to return to service later.

Great memories of being deployed into the jungle onto a LZ though. You can guess what music we were humming as we flew across the tree tops smile

Not sure if the two Huey's in Brunei were twin or four blade though.
