First off please correct me if I'm wrong and it has been.

I understand that the design of this boat has a few issues and it won't be to everyone's taste (personally I think its fantastic) but as an object to stand out from the crowd surely it would be second to none, so why has no one gone for it?
Believe me I understand that their quality control can be a little lacking as I very nearly bought a wally tender a few years ago but this could be addressed by the use of a personal project manager employed by the owner.
Just wondered peoples thought and am kind of hoping some one will tell me I am wrong and that It's mid build.

That's the one, don't know enough about how boats handle to be sure but does look like it would be affected by waves quite a bit, plus like you say would need a fairly large docking space. But to me there's just something about it that would make me seriously look into whether it was possible if I had the money. Just seems so open and airy inside.

Because it's pig-ugly and will have sailing characteristics to match?

More of a pontoon type, which you could park in the Bahamas, Bermuda etc take it out a few km, and park up and have a floating apartment in the sea, with those views. It would be more of a toy, like a summer house on water. Sounds good to me.

It was a Wally & Hermes joint venture type thing (hence WHY, Wally Hermes Yacht) but Hermes got the jitters and did a runner, you know those dingbats only went and made a full and I mean full size mockup in a shed!! here is the build timelapse vid; http://megayachts.ru/en/video/view/id/85

Anyway why build that old bucket when you can have the Wally Island:

Reminds me of this:

Russian Imperial Yacht Livadia, 1880. Didn't work very well.

My personal thoughts are :
It will be a pig in the seas, is ungainly, very 'exposed' to prying eyes, unproven, expensive, un-dockable.................
Looks a lot like the Ramform idea PGS were using for their streamer vessels.

Ramform Viking.
