Nice photos Slinky! Departures are always good as they tend to do a little vertical or roll out action, it's pretty cool! If the Ukranian Flanker is there as it was last year, it just shot up and messed about, it was cool to watch!
Cheer smile I would love to go see that but unfortunately I'm working on Monday frown Still, I'm planning on going down Saturday and having a watch from the local farmers field at least!

Also, for those who can't be bothered to click through loads of photos, here are some of them posted here for your convenience :P

Finally, the last aircraft I saw that day due to having to go get the missus from work:

Nato E3 AWACS – Kudos to the crew for this one, two awesome fly pasts and ridiculous banking with the break. Couldn’t have made a better entrance!

Did XH558 & the B2 arrive? I left site just after 5pm & neither where anywhere to be seen.

Was speaking to an American AIr Force Captain earlier re the B2. Even though I knew what his answer would be before I asked the question I asked him 'what time is the B2 due to arrive?'

He looked at me & said 'Sir. I can neither confirm nor deny that such an aircraft exists or that it is en route to Fairford!'

He said that with a straight face even though he knew that everyone at Fairford was expecting it arrive sometime soon.

Genius. Got to love the Americans when they are in that 'we deny everything' mood.

XH558 had tech issues and has been put to bed for the night I believe. Not sure what the issue is but engineers are looking at it.

B2 arrived around 1915 smile some of the keener crowd had identified its callsign as "Death 11" and were tracking it in though i have no idea how but they are the uber geeks of the aircrat world

I had an email from VTTS @ 5.15pm saying that she was on the ground awaiting a weather window to alllow 558 to depart for Fairford.

Doesn't mention any tech issues.

What about the B2?

Just got back from RIAT. Working there however I have seen some spectacular flying today during training so the actual displays should be awesome.

Not sure how much flying I will get to see over the next few days however so long as I get to see XH558 in the air I don't really care to much about anything else.

Didn't see the B2 as not sure whether or not it is already on the ground or when she is due in.

Hopefully the weather will be as good as it has been today so here's hoping for a dry few days.
B2 due tomorrow evening apparently. What are you helping with?
Working hospitality in the chalets that front onto the runway! If the weather is good& the boss is in a good mood we should get to see some good flying tomorrow.

It appears that 558 is stuck at her home base due to the crappy weather & as for the B2 - well who knows!

Ok. Hope it flies in tomorrow & that she doesn't get grounded again.

As for the B2 - irritated that I missed it.

Is it flying at all or just on static display hidden away from us plebs?

Waited 13hrs in the rain for 558.... luckily with a load of people with scanners, so news of her technical issues did eventually reach us.

Decided to hang on for the B2 after following her arrival from hitting ground over Lands End.... the earlier photo was taken on approach, here's the best of mine after she landed.

Sadly fading light and really really crappy weather do not good pics make, I took over 1000 today and I reckon less than 20 are any good.

According to XH558's Twitter feed, she's to take off from Robin Hood shortly, do a display authorisation display at Farnborough then on to Fairford to display just after 12 and land.

Hoping to head out just as soon as SWMBO gets back from grocery shopping.
