Need things to hang ropes on

Oi! I might be Romford navy now but I've done my bit in the string, sheets and blazer brigade before now.
I just choose to chew my oysters and wash 'em down with Guiness now.
Oh and Simpo you'll be pleased to know the new props (low rake) worked exactly as I said they would and we haven't lost anyone out the back door in weeks now. Apart from the labrador that is but then you know that story.

(and cleats for fenders? WTF? - gotta give the crew something to do !)
I'd rather not have to, but some of the landing stages are 4' high and others only 4" (I think the EA makes them canoe friendly, forgetting in their taxpayer-funded greeness that there are no canoes, only boats). Hence you often have to adjust the height of the fenders to stop one's shiny new GRP getting scuffed.MOTORVATOR said:

And they are swung by a lanyard on my vessel to denote first and last dog watch or more correctly the transfer from Gin to Rum.
This is almost as bad as when Simpo came on board for lunch and had the nose off the stilton right in front of Bacardi's eyes.
And you know why they are called dog watches? It's because they are curTAILed!And they are swung by a lanyard on my vessel to denote first and last dog watch or more correctly the transfer from Gin to Rum.

The internet saves having to know anything, which is a pity. But then it saved me a trip upstairs to thumb through a 1939 copy of 'All the World's Fighting Fleets'
