Took our Flying Fifteen from Lymington to Yarmouth the other week. Cracking day out. First time on the sea with a sail boat. We were loaded up with safety kit, but thankfully didn't need it. Picking up a mooring just outside of Yarmouth harbour was a bit tricky with the tide under sail, but at least it gave the the yacht sailors something to look at. Had a bit of banter with some yacht sailors on the way back in. They were not having half the fun that we were. We sail an Etap as well, but it never makes us smile like the Fifteen.

Have a look at the video. Check out my mates unusual grip on the tiler ext and his sailing face. Filmed on Gopro HD2

Marvellous!!

I used to sail my Topper & the Laser from Lym to Ymth most weeks as part of my training. Unfortunately, at the age of 14 / 15, safety kit never really comprised more than a buoyancy aid & a pocket of fags in a ziplock bag!!!!
