I'm at home on leave at the moment, the boat is the 'big' schooner. It's been in and out a bit in the last few weeks.
I know the one, definitely a small world...smile

I assume that these qouted prices are for super yachts that turn up for a few nights? When I was at the Monaco Grand Prix this year, there were several small boats in the innner marina that wouldn't look out of place sitting on the mud at Hoo (where I keep my little raggy). Surely they can't be paying these sort of prices? It would be more than the boat is worth.
Blimey TTwiggy! I pretty much grew up at Hoo, was at the yacht club every weekend whether there was snow on the decks or not. Ahh the smell of The Orinoco (is it still called that?)

What it doesnt tell you is how much you also have to slip the Port Captain just to get in, there is never a free space in Portofino / St Tropez but somehow a yacht can turn up and get in! Last time I was party to this the "getting in fee" was the same as the berth €2.5K You would think that the powers that be would notice that their Civic employed Captains have the biggest houses fastest cars and youngest wives / girlfriends!

Yep - the Orinoco is the romantic name for the dredged channel marked by the world's most pathetic withies to guide you in. And if they actually get round to dredging the entrance to the marina, we'll all be very happy! (luckily I've only got about a metre of keel)
