Motor Gun Boat 81 is in need of funding to keep it running.

The alternative is that she goes ashore as a static exhibit which would be a crying same.

Is the boat shown on the website Gunboat 81?


If i was going to contribute and i seriously would, I would much rather see it in the colours that it should be seen in namely "Pussers grey" and some kind of B&Q kitchen colour......real shame that.

Yes, that's the boat, I'm not sure of the detail but I think that is the correct colour for her.

Stunning boat. I used to own a smaller, pre-war version.

Alot of the coastal command boats were painted in that colour and style, sort of an in shore version of atlantic convoy dazzle paint!

was having a little google and this picture was too good not to share!!



Imagine these flotilla's of these and the E Boats prowling the english channel!! Fantastic and Terrifying in equal measures i would imagine!

Yes it is, was sold form private ownership to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard using lottery money.
