Anyone going to be heading down to Eastbourne for the air show next weekend? Well if you're in two minds here's something that might sway you...
Oh yes, but I have the advantage of living under the 'flight path !!!!!

I thought it was 17:13?

I've just checked the website and you're right.

Just got back from the seafront, managed to get a parking space right near the Western Lawns about 10 minutes before the Vulcan arrived!

Apologies for the horn blaring at the end, think it was the woman parked in the car behind us hehe

Traffic exiting car park was a bit nuts... took ages to get home, and I'm only at the bottom of the hill(!) - Bike inner tube was somewhat beyond a puncture repair kit's capabilities, so I took the car. Imagine the traffic on the A259 is solid all the way to Newhaven, usually is on the Saturday.

Anyway.... the Vulcan, superb, noisy bugger too smile

Will pop some photos up later on tonight.

Best way into Eastbourne was straight down the A22 and into the centre parking in the Arndale Centre. Mind you didnt find that out until I had gone along the A27 and then in down the bypass towards the retail park and queued for around an hour, before giving up, emerging by the Hospital and turning left! Getting out took ages as well, again should have come up past the hospital.

Anyway will look at pictures later to see what they are like, only took a point and shoot though.

Posted these on the XH558 thread, but that's no reason they shouldn't be here too - many better photos on there as well (not by me I may add!) smile

I didn't get to Beachy Head until 2pm (went to test-drive the GT86 at lunchtime smile) so not much traffic. Took a while to get out after the event but it wasn't too bad at all.

Vulcan was majestic as usual but I also really enjoy the Lynx’s display. Never seen a helicopter doing loops in the fresh before. Wonderful!

That's an amazing video. What a noise. What an aircraft. She is just awesome. The roar from engines when the power is turned on is fantastic.

Wonderful shots of her from above as well particularly on the first run in with her shadow on the water.

Such a shame that next year might be her last in the air. Enjoy whilst we can.
