'Pushing on' - explicit example of terrible airmanship.

Air pocket my arse! As the ground was getting closer the pilot was probably still pulling back on the stick effectively stalling into the ground. If he'd steered left at least he may have landed on some grass rather than trees. As op says terrible airmanship and very lucky no-one was killed.
I didn't see the nose rise; it just seemed to lose lift. I wondered if there was warmer air over the trees. The only mistake he made was not to abort the take-off; once he was up and heading towards the trees he was doomed.Simpo Two said:

stupid question time.It seems he had difficulty taking off. Once off the ground he couldn't seem to climb any more.
As you say he was doomed but realising the above two things couldn't he have got his passengers to drop their luggage out the plane?

I doubt a few bits of luggage would have made a significant difference (they'd have spent the short time available bickering over what to throw anyway) but what it really needed was one less passenger.
Well, that would certainly have made the YouTube video even more of a sensation than it already is.eharding said:

I was thinking of *before* take off The passengers didn't seem sufficiently focused to take any orders; they'd probably have said 'You mean like we're going to crash? Cool!'
