Cool thread, that comedy windscreen must have been so nice at speed to not have wind ans spray! Bet you got some funny looks though lol.

Are you flushing with fresh water after each run if you've been having impeller issues? Usually from salt left in the impeller housing after the seawater dries off. Or running it dry even for a few seconds can fist the impeller.

Look forward to updates!

Beers.

Cheers mate yes the windscreen was ace for stopping spray and wind but it did knock 4mph off top speed aswell! But this one just covers your face so should stop the wind and spray and look better!! And yes we flushed it everytime we came out the sea and It was a snapped linkage to reverse we had a problem with now that's all sorted!!!
Anyway painted the boat today , was going to roll and tip the paint but the paint was weird it was almost drying as soon as you laid it with the roller and went weird after you put the brush through it , so I ended up pouring the paint on the boat and brushing it all over turned out alright considering just a few BIG runs here and there but again nothing wet sand wont sort out!

Excuse the inflatable council pool!!!!

Painted part of the bottom gloss white , not sure now if it should be all white but I think it looks ok.

And typically it rained , but it did have a drying of 5 hours and the sun was out for most!

The rain hides the runs!!hehe

Thanks dude!!
Retrimmed the side bits as the black vinyl has had its day had some white lying around not the best job but it will do.

Controll box back on, leaving the front trim black as
1. It kind of matches the underneath of black and white and
2.cant be arsed undoing the steering box and taking the wheel apart.

Screwed the windscreen on

Sanded the front nose bit flat

Had some spare vinyl wrap theres a couple of creases at the end so will probably take it off and paint it but I think it looks ok

Last thing is put the seats in and fuel tank and off to the sea.

No mate I'm not and dont have Facebook either , we dont really launch there even tho it's a few mins away as I'm in cleveleys you dont get long with the tide there.
We always drove to knott end and dumped off the ramp but my pal who co owns this piece of st has just bought a honda crv 2004 with 4 wheel drive so going to try our chances at fleetwood opposite the euston hotel on the beach.

Cool.

Take some carpet with you to put under the tyres incase you find a bit of really soft sand near the boat ramp

Cheers

Well managed to get it out this afternoon ...went to knott end , sea was abit choppy 3 hours to go till low tide .. just needed a hour out to see if there was any problems ....20 mins in giving it full beans went to turn a little and it carried on going straight slowed down did full lock and still going straight !! The nut that holds the steering cable through the engine tube had vibrated off and the steering rack was pushing itself back and not turning engine , luckily we brought a arrangement of tools on board and sorted it quickly back to normal.
Tried a few more top speed runs but sea was to choppy
With the tide getting lower and lower on the ramp we headed back , 2 things need doing now.
1. Lift the engine up to the next bolt hole, we moved it down one to try this time but it doesnt like it.
2. Buy a new winch

Back home safely

Next time we go out I'll get some full speed videos it topped out at 36mph last time we was out but could only manage to get around 20 this time due to the choppy seas!!
Till next time

Sounds great, all bar loosing control of the steering at 20mph, glad you enjoyed it.
