Canadian Lancaster to visit the UK

Take a look at the itinerary list on the Canadian Lancaster website for more info on where it will be displaying.
However within 2/3hours of driving at most you should be a able to get somewhere with the pair displaying.
How much notice will be given for the Dams flypast? I'm guessing it might be part of a transit flight to or from another event? However within 2/3hours of driving at most you should be a able to get somewhere with the pair displaying.

I'm thinking you may be right on the transit rather than a publicised event. They've been having traffic management issues for years so 2 lancaster over the dams would cause a nightmare. I was speaking to OC BBMF and the team last month and the list of events is constantly being added too and evolving, then there's the big issue of weather so you can expect a very fluid flying programme over the 2nd lancaster a stay. What I would suggest is keeping your eyes peeled on their Facebook and twitter pages during August.

just had it stated on Facebook that the trip is extended to mid September (15th). Don't know how accurate this is.
Could it be more than a coincidence that the Goodwood Revival is 12-14 September? Bloody hell - still a hell of a trip for me in north west Wales - the tour of the south and east rolls on - and yes I realise Scotland and Northern Ireland don't fall into that category, but it's a shame they couldn't have covered the country a little better (Blackpool or Southport would have been nice)

I would really suggest the trip. It will be a once in a lifetime site. Whilst I'm sure BBMF and the Canadians would like to display everywhere the practicality of it just wouldn't work. But I'm sure there will be a venue within a few hours drive it's certainly worth the day out. WelshChris said:

It's hardly their fault that there isn't a major show up north in the small time window they are over here is it..... It's not as if there are loads of RAF base open days any more all over the UK either.

Any info on the dams flypast yet?
I think that might not be publically announced tbh, given the issues with public access to the area. ecsrobin said:

Don't get me wrong - I'll be making the trip somewhere for sure - the dams would be nice if we could find out when/if it's going to take place. I'll never get another chance like this in my lifetime probably, so I'm joining the chorus of people urging everyone to try and see these two aircraft together.Canadian site says...
Sunday August 17 Combined Ops Show - both Lancasters.

BBMF site make no mention of this event. Anyone know for sure ?
