Canadian Lancaster to visit the UK

Does anyone know when the Canadian lanc is due in? (Time) I see they're still saying Friday? I'm tempted to go to Coningsby to see it as leave has been refused for other dates.
Seeing as it's now not due to leave until a full day later, I would think it's more than likely that it will now arrive a day later as well.aeropilot said:

Hopefully all will be ok tomorrow.
Did anyone watch the 'coverage' by the Canadian CHCH TV channel?
It was truly awful. Words cannot do justice to just how bad it was. Weather bulletins every 6/7 minutes, awful adverts for cremation plans followed by equally bad adverts for replacement roofs!!!!!
Dire. However I have to watch it again tomorrow......

That's Canadian/American TV for you. Makes you realise how lucky we are in the UK with generally good quality programming unless it's ITV. Hopefully all will be ok tomorrow.

As for the lancaster it was planning to have 2 days rest in Greenland so that will now be shortened to 1 day at rest.
It will be Friday afternoon that it arrives at Coningsby and I would suspect that it will start getting very busy Thursday evening in the area with people trying to get the best spot.
Hopefully my last Pistonheads post for a week!
Will be 1.30 at Coningsby on Friday. We had three days extra built in, so no sweat at moment.
Hopefully goose bay tomorrow, Iceland Wednesday, flying demo over Reykjavik Thursday and depart for uk Friday.
Fingers crossed all sorted for tomorrow morning. The guys at CHWM were gutted today that no. 2 didn't fire. She worked perfectly on Wednesdays test flight.
It is a massive undertaking to get her to the UK, and everyone doing this is a volunteer and giving up their summer to run her. Even though they all enjoy it, hats off to them. Never met a friendlier more welcoming bunch of people, will be visiting here again for sure.
Will update twitter once at the museum in the morning.

If you see this before posting again it'd be interesting to know what your adrenalin levels are at? And particularly during flight.
How excited/scared/exhilarated you feel? My heart's been racing just thinking about her taking off. I'm not sure flying in daylight helps! At least the original crew had darkness to hide in.
