Flypast magazine has a nice article. In it they state shes flown further, flights to the west coast of Canada with no issues.
I don't think the distance involved is why some people are hesitant about them flying it over, it's the fact that on such a longer cross-country in Canada/USA, if they have a mechanical issue, there is the option to divert into one of many local airports...........whereas you don't have that luxury over a vast expanse of water.

True, though St Johns NewFoundland to Vancouver is a lot longer than to the UK . Presumably they would go via Iceland and Shannon perhaps..not sure of the shortest overwater route. Also, with a four-engined aircraft there is some safety in terms of engine failure I would assume. I posted my old vid earlier on flying in this plane. I think it was the incredibly loudness that surprised me, and the lightness of the construction. The panorama from the cockpit is just amazing, looking back and seeing the wingspan…unforgettable.

Newfoundland, Greenland, Iceland, Scotland and probably routing close to Faroe Islands on the leg between Iceland and Scotland.

Just reading @CWHM and they're saying the tour could be extended
"Lanc Tour Update: The tour may be extended to Sept, with details including Middleton St.George and East Kirkby still coming. #Lanc2UK"

The dates given so far are for twin Lanc appearences. Anything else, and i imagine there is still something to be announced, is still in the pipeline

Hardly a 'UK' tour is it? - more like 'tour of the south coast'!

Hardly CWH's fault that there's nothing ooooop north at the time that they are over.

Last year was the last ever Leuchars airshow (as well as the end of an era with the traditional RAF Battle of Britain At Home days) and that would have been the idea end of tour event for the CWH Lanc given it would be going back to Canada via Scotland anyway.

Alas......

Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire have a particularly poor view of the beach.

Getting near £30k now. One zero feedback bidder in there!

Going to be amazing flight for some lucky person (who has the money of course).
Personally think a prize draw would have been fairer for this trip of a lifetime, even a 20 quid ticket would have needed only 1500 sold to get where we are now. And they would have sold this many, easily.
