PR=Photo Reconnaissance. XIX means Mark 19. It's usually Eric bemoaning the use of slang, as well. Glad to help.

PS915 (the blue spitfire) was built in Southampton where my grandad worked as a panel beater, it's nice to think potentially he may have helped in the production of it.

That's not slang or jargon though. That's just what it's called.

hehe but it's almost paramount to text speak for some.

It might have helped those not familiar by simply saying 'the blue Supermarine Spitfire'. Kind of akin to saying 'the red Ferrari' wink

Do you know who was piloting it?

Certain members of my family are completely convinced I know Rob Davies!?!

It wouldn't have been him as PS915 is an RAF BBMF aircraft.

He was flying the Spit from Biggin Hill I watched yesterday at Little Gransden.

Just wondered as I appear to have recently accrued a thing for pilots...

I was also at Little Gransden yesterday, the timing for the arrival of the two Lancasters was perfect. Me remembering where I'd parked the car less so redfacehehe

Was at gransden with the family as well yesterday, the undoubted highlight of the lancs was just fantastic, the 'thrumming' sound of eight merlins in the air together has left a hell of an impression. Xh558 putting on a hell of a show as well.

On another note, the show itself was once again absolutely mega and a total credit to the dedication of the team who put it together and the pilots who put their aircraft in the air to put on some brilliant displays.

hopefully next year I will be able to put the capri in the show field smile

Is there a car show as well? What's the deal, do you get entry tickets if you display?
