Updated planned airshow arrivals/ validations for you-

All of these are of course subject to change, particularly the F.35s which, even if they do make it to the UK, are unlikely to stick to their planned validation days/times....

Mon 7th -

2 x F.18 arrival
DC-10 arrival
Aerostars validation about 2.30 local
2xF.35 validation PLANNED for Monday pm, but of course this is becoming less likely by the day.
Canberra validation
Anson validation
Great War Display Team validation
Spitfire validation

Tue 8th

2 F.35 validations PLANNED in the morning
Starduster validation
2 F.35 validations PLANNED in the afternoon
Typhoon validation

Wed 9th

B787 arrival
Il-76 arrival with heli onboard

Thanks
I'd be very surprised.

KC-10 just arrived.
Someone twitter called it a KDC10, but I'm pretty sure they are KC10's?

F-35 has a flight plan for tomorrow, however I wouldn't be surprised of it didn't show up
Really... to the UK, or just testing in the US prior to a decision?

To us at Farnborough, I didn't look to check the origin of the flight before I left though, Doh.

I was expecting the f-18s to come direct from the US however, and they came in from Belgium, so it may already be in Europe somewhere!
Reliable source? Not questioning your integrity obviously!

Planning department deal with the flight plans etc. I'll double check of course when I'm back in tomorrow.

Not surprising given they are still sat on the ground at PAX.

The situation as of last night USA time....

I can't see it happening now to be honest unless they leave today USA time at the latest, or as they say, unless the 2 day turn-around is waived. But they'd still need to be given the go decision today USA time for that to happen.
I always assumed that the two day turnaround was to allow a thorough inspection of the aircraft, which presumably would have been done whilst they are confirming that the aircraft are safe to cross the pond. Unless of course you have to do a 36 hour inspection after every sortie. smile

Two typhoons holding to the west and sounds like they will flypast before landing
They are due to validate @ 1630, but I guess the awful weather could change that.

twitter reports F35's on route, who knows if true!
Which source? RIAT apparently tweeted a couple of hours ago that there would be 4 demonstrating on the flying days.
Would be interested to know if it was multiple sources.

The Yak's today put on a nice show, thought the F18 was a bit lacking. Nice to meet a fellow PHer viewing too, shame the light was to poor for decent photos.

Lovely shots! What you using?

Canon 400D with an ebay special 100-300 EF USM zoom, really struggles in low light and at full zoom, one day I will get an "L" lens.

Location is excellent, roundabout on Arrow road - directly under the displays.

Dan, what do you define as a bargain?
