So the Connie flying circuits earlier was a 'validation' flight? Cool.

I tried to grab a snap of it's reflection in the windscreen of my car, but digital cameras are slow to wake up, so I missed the opportunity frown

Lovely old thing. Highlight of the week for me smile
I'd have to agree. Standing 10 feet away from those engines starting was just amazing. Got it all on video, not sure how to host it though? YouTube easy?
It's a diddle. Sign in, upload, share.
Simples.
Uploading now. Taking a while.... Only a 4:30 video!

Cozens might be able to confirm/elaborate but I could of sworn I saw one of the demonstrator Global express's rolling away down the taxi-way by itself..... Door was open, no beacons/engines and no tug but it was rolling forward! They stopped the runway for a bit also.....

Well YouTube is a wky piece of st. 4 attempts and an hour later I've given up. iPhone won't even let me email the full video ffs.

Managed to get 54secs and the no.3 engine start up : http://youtu.be/mRNeB9udxZs

And the No.4 coughing into life: http://youtu.be/GuPX15SYBdo

The Avro Anson has just flown over me (South Bucks), in a Farnborough direction it's flying tomorrow so it could be on it's way there to land.

Locals keep a look out, sounded lovely and very distinct.

for saturday and sunday can you buy tickets on the gate like previous years? The website is far from clear and given the expected weather we're not yet certain of attendance.

Standard tickets are still on sale

http://farnborough.seetickets.com/content/farnboro...

cannot find anything about buying on the day but I am sure you can if it is not sold out.
Also if the weather is pants, I am sure a lot of people will not turn up

It looks like the "ticket office" for buying on the day is the newsagents shop just across the road from the FAST Museum on the Farnborough Road (No.76). I'm going to pop around this evening and buy a ticket for Saturday.

So... the weather doesn't look great for Saturday. We got soaked last time too...

We're planning on driving down from Newcastle early Saturday morning for the day. Does anyone local to the Airfield wish to tell me that the local weather is looking better than Metcheck is telling me?!

I'm about to buy 3 tickets online, but if it's wetter than last year, I don't wish to pay £140 to watch flat displays again. smile

I've got car parking included in my ticket package - in car park F apparently.

Does anyone know where this is in relation to the entrance and is it a better option than getting the train to Farnborough Main, then the courtesy bus?

Latest weather locally would suggest don't bother on Saturday. You might see something fly at the end of the day if the forecast is correct.
