I was trying to find some old photo's of Manchester Ringway, they used to have a massive candelabra in the main hall where cigar smoke used to curl up to just to show my wife who did not believe me, but never found it.

When looking on the Internet though I found some pictures of old Britannia Airways B737 100/200 that we always used to go on holiday with, the classic blue and red stripe. Brought back memories. Then I came across this chap

https://www.flickr.com/photos/theoriginalzippy/set...

He's managed to nail the old buses I went to school on, the Mark 40 diesel locomotive we went from Manchester Victoria to Llandudo on and the Britania airways I went around Europe on with my mum. Not got Yelloways coaches though, perhaps I haven't discovered it though.

I am still in awe of all those old mechanical things and equally in awe of new mechanical things. But I cannot be in awe for electronic things, will we remember the iphone 6 in 20 years with fond memories?

Perhaps I am just getting old and the rose tinted glasses are not made by Oculus Rift.....

No, you're right. People are disappearing up their own butts in their eagerness to get their month-old smartphone 'upgraded'. And for what? It's not progress, it's next year's landfill.
