I've seen two go-arounds. One was last minute, and the pilot came and made an excuse....

Second was I suppose more of an abandoned approach and the pilot did not bother to mention it, despite most of us actually recognising the sound of the gear going down, then up.

Suggest they're chucked out with a parachute next time, then the poor dears won't have to fret about this happening again...

fking good job they weren't on one of my honeymoon flights:

Five attempts at landing at Hiva Oa in a tiny twin prop thing in very stty turbulent weather, before the pilot decided to divert to some other island in the archipelago, where the weather was only slightly better but he managed to get us down safely.

Still a brilliant holiday though, and I didn't even think about contacting the Polynesian Evening News. Missed opportunity....
