C17 Ebola flight...
Discussion
Standing at the main stage at the Reading Festival, I was occasionally looking up watching the Heathrow commercial traffic in the patterns in and out. Then I spotted what appeared to be a C17, which was on a slightly odd track for a military aircraft. Initially it appeared to be headed out toward Wiltshire, as one might expect, but then it turned and headed for London.
Imagine my surprise when, a day or so later, I saw the story of it's arrival at Northolt in the newspapers. Which confirmed my ID of the aircraft over Reading.
Nothing further to add, really. Just that I randomly spotted the flight bringing that poor chap back for treatment whilst stood enjoying myself in a field near the Thames in Reading. I hope he makes a good recovery.

I saw people were complaining about the cost of this flight - yet when I first saw that the British government were doing this I thought "Thank God we're still part of a forefront country!". I can't imagine the psychology of the people who volunteer to help in these places, they're better people than I am - but so glad we can get them home and try our best for them when needed.
