Local residents (in Sandhurst) were moaning about these noise of the railways over the last few days, apparently there was more traffic than usual, as well as later into the night.
Someone also mentioned they had seen a "black nuclear weapons train"

Does this sound correct.

Did it say "Warning! Nuclear Weapons" on the side?

Shhh that will be the secret nuclear weapons train.

Or it could just be other routes have routine maintenance happening so diversions are on.

I'd agree with this.

Further maintenance on the busy route will likely be taking place in the night. The reason it may not be reported regularly is due to its nature being "when needed" or scheduled very rarely. Often once a year or less.

It should have done.

All coal trains have to have "Warning! Coal train" on the side of each wagon written in big red letters.

All domestic waste trains have to have "Warning! Domestic Waste Train" written on the side of each wagon in big blue letters.

Passenger trains from Southend to Liverpool Street have to have "Warning! People from Southend inside" in big green letters. Trains to Fenchurch Street would be similarly treated if any ever got there. I hear that the EU wants passengers names and addresses written on the side in future - the only hold up is deciding the colour of the letters. UKIP purple is favoured at the moment.

Greenpeace have created this handy guide for train spotters if it is nuclear waste.

I think weapons are transported by road though.

Why?

Wouldn't you want warning if Robbie was on the train

Maybe you could get a later one

I see that the Bastions of Truth, Greenpeace, are at it again.

Perhaps they've forgotten this. I hadn't... wink

They're not allowed to put the signs on until the driver is inside his cab. Health & Safety, you understand... wink

Will the fact that I clicked on that link prevent my Defence/Nuclear Industry deep security vetting going through. I mean I ticked NO to the questions "Are you a terrorist?" and "Have you ever been involved in a plot to overthrow parliamentary democracy through rioting or civil unrest?" That should be enough shouldn't it?

Does this sound correct.
There's currently engineering works between red hill and Guildford until the end of the month so it could be an increase in traffic from that?

Or they could have possibly seen this getting ready to launch http://www.armyrecognition.com/december_2013_defen...
