Well as others have said before. That is not floating any time soon. It's an hour from high tide and she is staying put.
The highest high tide of the year will only be 78cms higher than the high tide last night, and that's going to be in October. If that wasn't enough then she's not going anywhere, unless it's in pieces or if they dredge the bank. davepoth said:

I guess the longer its 'parked' there, the more embedded it becomes?Just spotted a comment on the BBC website, 'In a statement, Hoegh Autoliners said the ship "suffered a heavy list earlier yesterday evening after leaving Southampton Port".'
So, something wrong with the load or ballast when they left Soton, turned the corner, load shifted and pushed her round even further? That would explain why a flat bottomed ship is sitting at 45 degrees!

Fill S/B ballast tank, kersplosh, empty both/all ballast tanks, refloat on high tide.*
Or get loads of drivers onboard, and simultaneously drive all the cars to the S/B side, then back to the middle as she rights. What could possibly go wrong??? ;-)- I am not a marine salvage expert.

At least it didn't happen at low tide over a weekend in the summer!
Indeed, had they stuffed up the cricket match I'd have been most annoyed. Not being local I didn't know this. Any photos as I would love to see that happening.
