York railway museum
Discussion
I've always gone to the NRM from me being a spotter in my young teens. I've gone on piss ups to York and called in for an hour or so with mates who have begrudgingly admitted they enjoyed the visit.
I went a month or so ago with my son when he was researching retro futurism for some photos /info about the duchess of Hamilton.
Just sorting out a trip over to see Churchill's funeral train that's on display from the end of the month.
And long may it remain.

There's toddler stuff too - a model railway to watch, a play area, a few Thomas the tank engines to sit in,
and all the exhibits are unbreakable, there's NO DONT TOUCH THAT!
ETA even though it was extremely cold outside, it was surprisingly warm inside the halls.
