They'll start clamouring for airtime soon enough...it's already started, GoP should be more fun since Hils will probably suck up all the Dems energy.

Just had one on Newsnight, a doctor Ben Carson.
He believes in natural selection, but he doesn't believe in macro-evolution, or "species becoming other species"....so we all turned up as is then? biggrin
Wow, he's a real winner... biggrin

As always I'm driven to cite Bill Hicks on the subject; why do people who disagree with evolution always look really unevolved? Depressing that a man as gifted as that in his professional field thinks such bks.

There is no doubt he is intelligent and a gifted doctor/surgeon.

But is he deluded or a liar?
His denial of evolution, particularly saying he doesn't have enough faith to believe that something as complex as our ability to rationalize, think, and plan, and have a moral sense of what’s right and wrong, just appeared. But he has enough faith to believe a sky pixie created it all 'as is'

So at least in my opinion he is either lying to appease the republical voters or he is deluded, as he is clearly an intelligent man I think the former is more likely.

His view on healthcare is a bit OTT too, he called the Affordable Care Act “the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery.”

Honestly ? Not two world wars, Vietnam, 20s Depression ?

One big character assassination fest anyway.

I like the rules for qualification for standing for the top job in the US, over 35 and born in America? Something like that.

Even if he is taking the HMO shilling to fund his campaign, this is crass on so many levels.

Ted's in, the first of the crazies to declare for the GOP. If the thought of a Cruz presidency makes you shudder (and it should) think on this. Donald Trump has formed an exploratory committee! The gates of the asylums will swing open shortly and free the Rick's Santorum and Perry for another go and after that all sorts of whackos will throw their hats in. Remember Herman "999" Cain? He's thinking about it! Perennial loser Ron Paul? His son's going to run! Had enough Bush's? There's another one about to declare! Roll up, roll up for the craziest show since the last time this bunch of no hopers tried to find a credible candidate. That time they ended up with Mitt Romney! biggrin

Maybe the Republicans will counter Hillary with an all-woman campaign.

Ron Paul for president!

Shame he's not running. Not quite as fond of Rand, although with that said he's still head and shoulders above the rest of the mouth breathers on both sides of the spectrum.

Aye, I gather that, but US politics is not my strong point, well, any politics, but Palin was plain to see. Not heard of this fella past the odd mention on the news. Is he far right religious crazy or what?

Considering the Hilary has admitted she illegally used a private email address the whole time she was SOS; and has handed over transcripts of what looks like only a small number of her emails from that period. Which would also be illegal, it looks as if anyone can run.

Any candidate that declares their run for President from a creationist school ought to be automatically disqualified.

Democracy doesn't include the right to be stupid.
