Yes, needs VAT paying on it. The % would much lower as it's 2nd hand. HMRC would need to see an "invoice" for correct amount. wink

I did consider a Monterey last year but I never got around to looking at the boat seriously...and then it sold!

I guess I'd look circa £20-£25k, however can increase (and of course decrease!!) accordingly.

I had a Sessa Islamorada 23 until last year. Nice boat and easy to tow (23ft boat behind a Mercedes GL). Made the GL look small! biggrin

Quite a rare boat, good looking and not visually top heavy like a lot of that size are.

Sold last year as it wasn't getting the use it deserved. Someone got a bargain in the end at £13k frown

How much would you increase??? smile
Sealine S25 are starting around £32k. Volvo diesel engine will negate some of the higher fuel costs of the 4.3/5.0 petrols.

Unless your putting on about 40/50 hours a year, that's a lot for a small cabin cruiser, the premium for a diesel is huge, though better resale. Unless of course you get a great deal, most diesel owners are pretty savvy. You can get some right petrol mugs who just want shot of the boat as they don't understand basic maintenance.

Outboards, small to medium size, can easily be serviced by yourself without special tools. New big motors are much more complex. Our new Mercury O/Bs are pushing out 400hp.

That's not a bad interior for a small sports cruiser. Many of them look like small grubby caves!

It is perfectly possible to tow a 41 Cigarette with twin 1050hp motors behind a landcruiser. Seen it done and thought maybe you needed it throwing in the mix. ;-)

If one of those can be found within budget get me one as well wink

Out of morbid curiosity, how much fuel do they burn through an hour? 100/150 gallons?

Boats are surprisingly big. Mine is 27' x 9'6", about average size for inland cruisers.

But it wouldn't fit in my average-sized living room, 24' x 11'. So you're basically towing a whole living room behind you.

Do I recall a length limit of about 25' for yer average trailer? I'm sure Plod would be very happy to get his tape measure out...

It's actually 23 feet but most seem to overlook this fact. The Gross Train Weight listed on the door shut or manual shouldn't be exceeded either but i doubt many check this either.

All the above would be unlikely to attract much attention in a landcruiser right enough, if you had a 1 series or similar less so!

How about a Sealine 20, ready to go for the summer? All for £15k.

I'm not too familiar with the older sealine range but that's not 20 foot surely?

I'm pretty sure it was until they added a swim platform. Here are some better photos of the same model, the 200.

That's an impressively sized cabin for a 20 foot boat! I had a bayliner 2052 and it was crawling room only in the cabin
