A pity about the Dakota faulting, nearly caused some broken hearts at Cosford when they told some visitors that it wasn't flying, those that got the message thought 558 wasn't coming too

Broken hearts all round 'til the misunderstanding was rectified

As for this idiocy against GG, well wow

She's never thrown me or my mates out of her Herk in the wrong place

Or upside down

Nor nuffink

I'll go with the experten ta

Just seen on Facebook that the BBMF Lancaster successfully completed ground runs this afternoon. Good news, shame the season is coming to an end now.

Excellent news, in my eyes it's the only plane that comes close to the Vulcan for majesty and spectacle.

This is excellent news, and a testament to the hard work the groundcrew and companies involved have gone through.

I'm up at Coningsby for this Sundays LLA day, it would be great *if* (wishful thinking) PA474 could be airborne, but the team at the BBMF have done a wonderful job getting her to this position, they're not going to rush it now. She will fly when ready

Tim Dunlop has said it will not be ready for tomorrow.

I realise that, she will fly when ready, when safe. This is a task that cannot be rushed.

That is very good news, soon be back where we were.

Minus a Vulcan again, frown but with a Lancaster. smile

I have to say I have got used to losing 558 but I'd be broken hearted if we lost the Lanc too.

I took a video of her running up during the afternoon. Lovely to be so close to the four.

Is there just the *tiniest* chance that the Vulcan's final flight will be accompanied by the Lanc?

Goosebumps and dusty eyes in equal measure.....

Nice to see her back. Pity she missed the vast bulk of the airshow season - which is what I expected would happen.

I'm sure this must be the intention - the last flight of the Avro sisters.
