Britain's worst (by far) rail disaster was 100 years ago today. 226 (at least) died.

Just read about that.
A train load of troops, heading off to war, didn't even get to leave UK shores (before they died).

RIP to all those who died.

I drive trains through there and had a local Permanent Way Supervisor ride with me about a year ago. He told me they still dig up buttons, buckles and badges every time they work there. Very sobering.
