I'm guessing he might be inferring that the fuselage from which this a/c is built up from is in fact a Canadian built Bolingbroke - which is just a licence built MkIV Blenheim.
But as Bolingbroke was also the name that Bristol had originally intended for the extended nose version of the Blenheim (rather than calling it the MkIV) - it really is splitting hairs biggrin

The original idea for extending the nose of the Blenheim was a simple lengthening of the MkI profile -

I did wonder about the Bolingbroke, but I wasn't sure so kept quiet.

According to the CAA, it's still a Fairchild Bolingbroke Mk IV T.

Yes that's the book, will have to read it again it really was brilliant, one of the most engaging accounts of a personal war experience.
