And has a well respected hospital only two miles from the airfield - Frimley Park.
Not sure that is relevant Eric, ALL hospitals are under pressure currently, including FPH.

Well, it's better than NOT having a hospital nearby. Farnborough is in a fairly built up area so any facility opened on the airfield can call on nearby local services, granted that we know they are all under pressure.

Farnborough is also local to British Army and RAF medical facilities and personnel.

Building a hospital more or less from scratch on the Farnborough exhibition site would seem a lot more effort than converting, say, the nearby Aviator and Village hotels. The latter have rooms with power, water, internet wiring & air conditioning, so much of the work is already done.

Maybe, but the Nightingale Hospitals opened so far have been in exhibition centres and not hotels. In fact, I can't think of any hotels that have been converted into emergency hospitals yet.

True, but lets not forget, at least some of the build for the airshow would have been started, so a lot of the work is done, plus security and proximity to a major airfield would have been plus points too.

That would be a bloody nightmare. The existing structures would need knocking about for all sorts of things. For a start the oxygen pipework. Then lifts with space for a bed and staff, and on it would go.

Much easier to start with a large blank flat space and build in some temporary structures.

And the Aviator is still functioning as a hotel, one of very few still operating. It’s also been housing military and NHS workers so providing a useful service.

Not sure on the reason for go around, definitely didn't have its gear down when it went over the hangars though, just presumed it was doing a fly past at the time.

Made for some cool spectating though. The things a brute on the ground.

First approach looked to be a little unstable, guess he just thought he could do better, so did.
Gear definitely down on both attempts.

No idea how long the Jima is about for, so who knows, you might be lucky.
