Morning All,

Just wondered if anyone on here will be attending this year?

Or if anyone can tell me the best place to view for photography?

EDIT - Oops Typo in the title smash

I'm hoping to attend, however I don't know where the best place for photographs will be, we usually just sit on the beach. smile
I would imagine somewhere along the cliff tops will be a pretty good spot though.

Bit of a non-event today due to the weather. BoB flight, Red Arrows and Hawk T2's all cancelled.

Hope it's better on Saturday.

No need for two threads: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

But yes, I will be attending. Original plan was sunday but looks like it'll be a washout, so probably go Saturday instead. Somewhere along the cliffs between the two piers, will be adequate for photography smile

I have always stood on the top of the cliffs on East Overcliff Drive, which is East of the pier.

A lot of the display takes place more or less level with the top of the cliffs, for context;

Does it get busy and difficult to view from there or is it okay?

Bournemouth is a very busy show even more so when the weathers nice. But you should still find a spot.

Should do, I have never had a problem but it does get really busy so it's worth grabbing a spot well ahead of the first scheduled flight. Also, bring some food and drink..........

Did anyone watch the MiG 15?? Random question, but what the tune they played whilst it was flying?

Being my first time seeing the MiG-15, I was too excited to see it and wasn't paying attention to the music biggrin

Superb day out on the water Saturday. Few snaps below of the Red Arrows, Spitfire, Mig, Hawks and Eurofighter, the last few looking quite sinister against the clouds (best I have, need to work on my action photography)

Some nice photos from a different perspective.

I'll upload mine when I'm done editing!

Awful coincidence that the commentator mentions the John Derry Crash during the Sea Vixen display at about the same time history was repeating down at Shoreham.
