That was a splendid list but the advert is still blazingly wrong. Freemans are common boats. And if the owner of a Freeman 22Mk1 thinks it's a 23 he's an idiot.

If I ran Boatshed I'd have replied along the lines of 'Blimey you're right, I'll let them know and get them to fix it, thanks for drawing it to our attention'. smile

NB £5,750 is a bonkers price for a Mk1 - especially 'in need of a little TLC to bring her back to her former glory', but that's another matter.

I don not own Boatshed I own a Franchise area and other offices do not like you pointing out there mistake... if that is the case without me searching myself, as we do not get involved in river or canal boats in North Wales and I have enough to look after covering that whole area. But feel free to call them, I was simply pointing out it is nothing to do with our area as you suggested in the first place
Pricing....owners rarely listern to advice about pricing...as there's is always the best ..
Some owers have little idea what they have they often buy used off somebody else and be told its blah blah...Many are not that interested in make or model especially when with older boat. Yes that looks nice ..petrol, diesel nice amount of space oh and loo...some buy things like this and have now idea there was MK2 its just a boat and they like it.
How many models and varitions of lets say a TVR Chimaera do you no about and what make them worth more plus changes over the years built.. Some folk would not now however simply like the look plus colour inside and out. Unlikely to notice the bonnet and grill changes engine and box diffences unless you do homework and many boat buyers do not. So while you think peope who do not know are idiots sone don't care and that incorrect info can get passed on through that kind of ownership transaction.
Also the cost of moving boat is expensive and certainly at the bottom of the market
a large % of the purchase price so folk quite often with cheap boats buy what's under there nose, so again what exact model it is becomes less relevant and of little or no interest. Also with boats of this vintage condition is all not model.
It is not uncommon fo boats of this vintage to be owned or to be purchased by older folk who are not computer literate or even carry a mobile phone AKA my old man. It is case sometimes word and mouth or somebody looking for a boat for them on the net..daughter son etc. Its is then a case of simply ticking boxes so what make and model it is means little.
All very different from the higher end of the market.
