Yes, Avespecs last week posted on their Faceache pages the first engine runs of PZ474.The world (or rather North America) will soon have 4 airworthy Mossie's.........(although the reality is that it will be just the 3 rebuilt in NZ as the B.35 owned and restored by Bob Jens in Canada hasn't flown again since its first post restoration test flights a few years ago, and in all likelyhood won't ever fly again)

That's a shame, any idea why not?Seems odd to restore a plane to flying condition and then not fly it.

That's a shame, any idea why not?And yes, many people think its odd, but, then again, there's many people that spend years restoring cars and then put them in collections never driving them, apart from on and off car trailers to be taken to the odd car show.

Where is this based in Auckland, massive fan of this sort of stuff and I live here.
It's not based there as such, its been restored by Avspecs based at Ardmore Airfield. The owner is American, so once its been through its quoto of test flights and shake down's in the next month or so, it will be dismantled and then shipped to its owner in the USA (just a the last 2 x Mosquito's have that have been built by Avespecs during the past 10 years)So, if you want to see it, don't hang about too long
