We can't unfortunately make it to Fairford this year as we have a stag do to attend on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday! However we are thinking of doing a dog leg to get there and stopping near Fairford to see the F35. (Hopefully in the earlier part of the session)

Could someone that is going post the hours it is flying when the program is released. Either reply in this thread or PM me?

If it is later in the day on Friday we will probably miss it :-(

This is the thread for Farnborough Airshow, not the Fairford show.

You might have more luck asking in the other thread so we don't start cross posting information.

Validation due at 2pm I believe.
There was a hornet based at FAB during the 2014 show, which would often disappear first thing then re-appear later.
Yep, they go to Boscombe Down for a shakedown prior.

Are you able to share this week's validations and arrivals to go with the Friday times you have shared?

I think the F-35 will be a bit noisier.

Typhoon coming in soon, I think, according to ATC.

Typhoon arrived yesterday afternoon and validated at 1pm (a short while ago). F-35 is now back to his original 2pm validation slot.

The 727 was impressive for such an old bird.

Typhoon flew over Basingstoke about twenty minutes ago. Any idea what would have been in the area prior to the Typhoon? Was much louder (about an hour before)

I heard something loud up and about then too, but didn't see anything identifiable over the trees between my house and the airfield/display area. Although that said, there was a Red Kite wheeling about up there, and four small "somethings" flying a lazy circuit in formation off to the south while that noise was going on.
