Apparrently the FS is doing a similar run this Saturday to the one on June 4th.

I use uksteam.info for the basic information, but the timings are still a bit mysterious sometimes - looking last week there was one site showing it leaving Chester at 13.30 and another page on the same site saying it was not leaving Crewe until 1400.

It was scheduled to bring the Emerald Isle Express back from Holyhead to Crewe tomorrow, but the site notes that it's cancelled and they're using scheduled services instead. I did catch it last week, but didn't really have time to find a decent spot.

Just poking around on the Guardian site for some perspective on today's events and found this. Not sure what we learn from it, if anything. Maybe what goes around comes around.
