Smoothest year yet, just drove straight in on Brown route at 6:30, only 5 or 6 people from the front of the gate queue (Green entrance). Straight through at 7:30 opening and despite not being a runner had our pick of the entire front line just along from the FRIAT enclosure.

At the blue entrance in the car park yesterday, the bit before it snakes out the car park and to the lane an in. Nice conga line, three rows I think all amicable and sensible.

7:30, someone shouted its open and the 3 line nice and neat conga all merged into a clump of people at the field exit with still the lane to go.

Yep.

I did not have calibrated ears yesterday and anything piling on the power was loud. No idea which was more attractive to noise seeking missiles.

Not doing the Sunday this year but rain radar looks promising, hopefully it will lift for you.

They're flying now. Wasn't looking great when the Patrouille Suisse just taxied up the runway and back again!

Rain radar showing the rain dispersing before Swindon and good into Wales at the moment, tis the direction it is comping from. Does not say anything about clouds though, just the stuff that falls out of it.

Edit. Coming from the SW, no rain showing.

Nice offer from the Jordanians there...

"You make the effort to come and visit us in Jordan, and we'll make the effort to take you up for a flight!" biggrin

Not only did it break, it broke after the American tt of a commentator had been talking for 10 mins about how amazing it was. Yeah, so amazing it can do 2 passes then have to land.

Shame the clouds wernt a bit higher, the F35 was good to see, plenty of things turning expensive fuel into noise. Mig looked like it was on fire sat at the end of the runway its engines are so dirty. hehe

Here it is, not breaking yesterday. I think. Got confused with all the F this and F that yesterday.

Best airshow for me (of many), atmospherically it was incredible for photography too, so that was a bonus. Glad the F22 at least got up and did some of its thing today.

This is pretty much SOOC, unbelievably:

Something I find odd with the F22 is that it doesn't look real. In person and in photos it looks like a CGI aircraft.

The 35B is insanely loud. Don't think I have ever heard anything as noisy.

I agree that the display is a little tame in comparison with the Raptor however the hover display & then the landing was simply jaw dropping.

I was in the Boeing chalet today when the 35B was in hover mode.... The noise & vibration from the aircraft cannot be put into words.

My head hurt when it disappeared......

The problem with the Raptor wasn't serious, at least not today. The bomb bay doors would not open so the decision was taken to put the Raptor on the ground just in case.

Regardless of that it is wonderful aircraft.

Words cannot describe how was flown yesterday.

Highligh for me, apart from the F22 & F35, where the Ramex Delta's.

The pair put on one of the best displays yesterday (Saturday) that I have seen for a long time.

All in all it was epic weekend.

One final thing - hidden away amongst the American heavy planes yesterday was a Boeing 737 which had what appeared to be a pair of missiles on underwing pylons.

One on each wing. Anyone know what that is all about?
