Discussion
So, I just wanted to add my 2 Pence to the discussion
As I wrote previously this was my son's first airshow and I warned him that it would be a tiresome experience.
We left from Milan to Heathrow on Friday morning at 7:30 and finally managed to arrive at Fairford by noon. We parked without any hassle at Blue Parking and stepped out of the car just as F35 and F22 took off... what an eye-opener for a 9-year boy!
Entrance was also a non-story, without queueing. So we headed for the red area at RWY27. It was absolutely great, plenty of space to watch. After the end of the flying display we took our time to walk around the static park and watch some of the planes from close up. At the end of the day we were kindly asked to leave the showground, otherwise I think my son would have spent the night there
Saturday I decided to arrive early to avoid traffic and we managed to park the car at the Green parking by 6:30, by then we queued at the entrance with probably 20 people ahead of us. I wish to take a moment to thank the developers of Angry Birds for helping me keeping the boy quiet for the waiting hour
Once gates opened we continued the visit to the green area of the static park which was closed on Friday and managed to get him sitting in the cockpit of the USAF C-130 which is his favourite plane
He was also shown the weaponry of the AH-64 and took a few pictures with the Italian team of the Typhoon. Then he decided we should take a place by the P-8 for watching the display. I must say that despite my thinking it's not a bad spot and a big plus is that being at Runway exit he could see the planes very well and could also wave to the pilots... And the F22 taking off from that end was a big bonus
I would just add a big thank you to all the personnel involved, being organization, volunteers and crews, you really appreciate their dedication when you are with children and you see how much passion they can pass over to them!
Finally at 7 pm we headed for the exit, we sat the car, he said to me "I'm sad to go, can we come again next year?" and fell asleep. Mission accomplished

Wow, thanks that would be great
They ain't no masterpieces. However, can PM you to beam them over by email (around 22mb per CR2 file, canon RAW, four of them). If you are not sure what to do with RAW I can JPEG them.Or wait for my backup to finish and I will set up a share link to the online back up with them only and you can nab them that way.
Made the mistake of trying Mac OS beta and had to roll stuff back so puter is chundering away on backups at the moment.....

Not sure if a Gmail box handles 22 Mb of attachment. I can wait for your backup, but it depends what's easier for you, I don't want you to spend much time for that. Or wait for my backup to finish and I will set up a share link to the online back up with them only and you can nab them that way.
