It was here for the AMG GT-R launch at brooklands, it flew it in inside an iso container.

Ooooh...a heckilopter with no tail rotor.

I might get to be comfortable with that, unlike the usual stuff that Was Not Meant To Be, work of the devil, and all that.

Edit...

Second thoughts, I looked again. That rotor stack looks a bit over complicated for my liking.

I've been trying to find photos but seen nothing other than the car leaving the container.

If you think Kamov designs are odd, have a look at the arrangement used by Kaman -

I'm not sure if you know but other kamov helicopters do actually have ejector seats. The rotor blades fire away before the ejection obviously.

Like this one.

Nice one! That's a long strop on that ISO container.

Kaman K-max lifting/logging helicopters are amazing and weird things. I'm sure they based some of the fish in Finding Nemo on it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4kp6PhSz8c

Those blades are gonna hit! No they aren't! Yes they are! etc...

Wobbles like heck when it passes through resonance.

yeah, i can sort of see why because the downwash is ferocious underneath a KA-27 or any contra-prop type but equally if you get a swing on it's going to be an absolute bd to stop.

I took this video last year of some Spanish firefighting taking place behind our house in Spain. Those Kamov's were great to see in action but not the best looking heli in the world!

Makes for some impressive agility, apparently the KA50 can rotate the whole airframe faster than the Apache can traverse it's gun.

Ah, yes, an "Aerial Helicopter"...

As opposed to an underwater helicopter...?
