In the middle of a Skype call in my office (at home in Clacton) at about 13:15, and I can hear an 'odd' sounding noise (only odd before I knew the source!), and realise it's a plane coming in low. Then I see a small 'prop' plane in an upstairs window so pop out of my office to have ten, what I think were Tucanos pass over; four in a diamond with the remainder in formation around them. Heading inland from the coast, in the direction of Colchester...

Any ideas on if they were Tucanos/what they were up today?

That's quite common for a pass out before the pilots head to valley for fast jet training.

Diamond 9 is usually the Tucs favourite. Maybe with a spare or camera aircraft?

They came over in the opposite direction before lunch; looks like they're the PC-7 team of the Swiss Airforce; displaying up in Scotland over the weekend. Must've brought a spare plane also.

Interestingly had a C17 fly over low yesterday morning, that was a first!
