Nordhavn.

I would think you'd need a displacement hull - ie can make about 9-10 knots at reasonable economy.

If you're going to be spending nights at anchor with only occasional nights in a Marina connected to shorepower then you'll need to think about having good generating capacity for your air con. 2 generators would be good in order to have some redundancy.

Very much this.

There's a 64 foot one in the marina i'm in and it is absolutely stunning inside and out. You would have no problem doing what you described in that, they're not cheap to buy though (about 2mil) and cost 15k every time you fill it with fuel so you should probably bear that in mind wink

Exactly, some sort of trawler based / styled craft is really the only sensible option for a motor vessel option.

exactly and even then you are still going to need decent bunkering capacity and need to think about water use / storage / generation esp if you want fresh water 'home comforts'

Yes, don't see why not, id imagine rekitting an inshore yacht for such a task could get ruinously expensive, probably better to buy a purpose build boat, preferably with sails.

Perfectly do-able on a Flemming 55, can easily accommodate washer, dryer, genset, watermaker to keep up with living onboard. A decent tender if staying at displacement speeds could be a proper size and towed.

If you anchored everywhere, you'd need fuel, food, maintenance, in the med you could scrub the bottom in the water.

I reckon you could get by on £20k/pa
