Weight and balance and take off performance are two separate calculations. Incorrect W&B calcs could cause the nose to rotate early if the C of G is out of limits, but the video/news story would probably be a lot longer as the aircraft struggled to fly. There's a good chance it would have been uncontrollable once airborne.
