I remember being in Barcelona some years ago on business with a colleague and we met and got absolutely wkered with two men who it transpired were pilots from the very same airline.

They were still drinking heavily gone 2am and as we jumped into a taxi to go back to our hotel they mentioned they were due to fly early that morning

Now I'm not their keeper and at that time of the day with limited factual knowledge of who they really are etc. just what do you do?

Equally I'm good friends with many pilots around the Gatwick area who I know simply won't go near the stuff if they're on duty at any time the next day.

So what your saying is that pilots flying under the influence may be a bigger problem than the Gladgow cases indicate.

I'm not 'saying' anything because it began with a perhaps. But if my suggestion is true, it's a logical inference.
