I buy a lot through work at Linell Brothers in Silverstone, if you're to the north of Bucks.

Probably not the absolute cheapest but great service and selection.

Try these guys for new treated softwood or oak sleepers. Quality is reasonable and the treated softwood ones seem to have good treatment penetration. However, don't expect new treated or indeed oak sleepers to last forever in ground contact.

If I recall correctly I'm sure my old department at NWR started selling these off direct. Not sure if it was to Joe Public though.

Couldn't tell you tbh. I was more in the Operations side and the recycling was a spin off.

Give them a ring, friendly bunch, small team based at MK.

Edit - Softwood sleepers have been treated with creosote to resist insect infestation and rot. Our hardwood sleepers are untreated, incredibly durable and can be used for a greater variety of uses, such as structural support in building projects
