It would appear he's made a similar mistake to this American Apache pilot while trying to conduct a Return to Target.

What will happen to the pilot in this scenario if the accident was found to be his/her fault entirely? Re-training, dismissal from the service, spend the rest of their career with a broom in their hand cleaning out a hangar on a base in Alaska?
It depends.

If the pilot was deliberately playing silly buggers then probably dismissed. If they simply made a bad mistake then probably grounded but into a job where the taxpayer still gets some return on the expensive training they've had.
Given Greece's economic woes, I'd say he'll be lucky to get to fly anything owned by the Greek Govt again. (do the Greek Govt technically own anything anymore or is it owned by Germany now whistle)

Co-pilot will be miffed, as he didn't even have time to get his swimming trunks on......... ;-)

I love the conversation between this Apache crew, with the immortal lines of 'oh yea of little faith'biggrin
