...fair question...I interpreted "large" as anything from "Bomber-sized" & up...its certainly not in the B-36 league.

What's the difference between a "cool" big aeroplane and an "uncool one"?

Define what makes it an "un".

Wide body twin engine airliners aren't cool in my opinion. Where possible I seek out 4 engined ones for long haul flights. Much cooler.

Ask yourself if it would look out of place in an episode of Thunderbirds. If the answer is "No, it could have been designed by Gerry Anderson himself", it is cool.

Spruce Goose, seeing as it was referenced before without a name...

That works. The UNCOOLEST of them all has to be this thing -

How has this escaped being posted?!

Massive fan of the Victor, such a shame that so many were scrapped or set alight. Designed in the 50s but still looks like it shouldn't have existed for a long time yet, nothing currently in use looks as futuristic. Insanely jealous of those crews that got to work on them/fly them. I believe for a while they were the largest aircraft to have broken the sound barrier.

Always seems to have lived in the shadow of the Vulcan but to me they're both equally iconic!

Have a few Vulcans, just because:

Victor for me. Now by default, any of the refuellers, KC30, KC135 & KC10, mainly ones I have "seen", Although I have been on a KC767, so that can count too.
And of course the coolest at the moment is the AWD plane.

This Kiwi flies well too.
