What's the difference between a "cool" big aeroplane and an "uncool one"?
Ask yourself if it would look out of place in an episode of Thunderbirds. If the answer is "No, it could have been designed by Gerry Anderson himself", it is cool.
That works. The UNCOOLEST of them all has to be this thing -

I think the A380 has some nice hints of Thunderbird 2 about the nose cool

It's got very squat dimensions - relatively short but high & wide, so the angle of view makes a big difference, I can see why the outside might not float your boat, but surely there's no argument that it's pretty cool inside!

How has this escaped being posted?!

See, that couldn't be more Thunderbirds if it tried. Sub-zero cool.

Definately uncool, old school airbus. It's all a bit last season, It hasn't even got a HUD. hehe

Mange tout!! It has a sidestick - infinitely cooler than wrestling with a Boeing yolk! In fairness next to Victors and Vulcans the 380 is never going to look any cooler than a fat accountant in sandals with a thermos whilst train spotting.

Edit - on geek mode - it can have a HUD too!

That's being very generous to the A380.

Uncool.

It's like an 80s kitchen white good that's too big and isn't even integrated. The side stick makes it even less cool. Like having a flashing light on your tumble drier. Bodging a hud on it won't even make it cool. The only cool bit is the camera for taxing but that's only there because it's so fat. like saying mobility scooters make really obese people cool.

The A350 and B787 look way cooler inside. Your plane isn't new enough to be innovative or old enough to be classic or evoke nostalgia. Kids point and laugh at it.

I know that it's not a plane (or even particularly large) but I always thought these looked cool.

However, these are even cooler:

Douglas DC-7. Perhaps the ultimate piston-engine airliner.

I'd always go with this as the ultimate piston engined airliner -

The Britannia was a turbo-prop not a piston.

Still a prop however, which is the main selector of type really

Penguinracer specifically said "piston engined airliner". So - the Britannia is out under that criteria.

Under the "cool big aeroplane" however, the Britannia is most definitely in - as is its big brother, the Belfast -
