Sort of. If you're at Dubai Int airport, part of their Skywards scheme and don't mind paying, you can mooch around with the well dressed people in the 1st and Business Class lounges for a few hours.

That's nothing new, you've been able to pay for lounge access with most airlines at most airports for as long as i can remember, either through a membership or just paying at the desk.

Fairly expensive though. Is £100pp for Business Class lounge & £200pp for 1st Class lounge.

I didn't realise how different the service levels were until this week when I tried to change a non transferable flight and got a resounding no, not really surprising but my father in law called them, he's a platinum card holder and I instantly received an e mail with a credit voucher attached
